About Dennis Iremonger

I originally entered into the field of construction back in the early 1970’s. With the use of day release and night school, became qualified to I. Eng. IMI Struct. E. In 1978.  From then until 2004, I worked with many medium sized consultancies, gaining practical design and detailing knowledge in all of the commonly used construction materials as well as the repair of historic buildings and cob building repairs. Some of the projects shown on this site were produced during that time, but I was generally solely responsible for the design and detailing of all of them.

Due to a change in circumstances in 2004, I became self-employed, although I still work for a number of structural consultancies in the south of England. I have set up work stations in Hampshire, (my main base), Devon, and London.

My career currently spans from 1974 to present which is nearly 50 years, enabling me to gain extensive experience with most materials and structural situations.

Structural surveys and reports:

I have many years of experience working with loss adjusters when resolving structurally related claims.

I have extensive experience, producing written reports for both domestic and industrial buildings for such reasons as purchase, insurance claims and condition reports.

All work is costed with all fees agreed beforehand, where possible, alternatively, for larger projects, work is based on an agreed hourly rate with timesheets submitted as required.

My working arrangement allows me to keep rates to sensible values, saving client’s considerable expense. Turnaround of projects is generally within 15 working days, depending upon their size and complexity.
